Tucked into the rugged mountains of the Banghoek Private Nature Reserve, between Piketberg and Elands Bay, Orion Cottage is a quiet escape less than two hours’ drive from Cape Town.

This is wild, open country. Sandstone ridges, fynbos and big skies stretch in every direction, and it’s home to the elusive Cape leopard. Days are for walking, birding and sundowners on the deck. Nights are for the stars, with no city lights to dim them.

Orion Cottage is an eco luxury retreat that runs fully off the grid. It’s powered by the sun and designed to sit lightly on the land, without giving up any comfort.
